I see a lot of “modelling” perspectives. Perhaps you should try to read this: “De Profundis? Deconstructing the Concept of Strategic Alignment”, Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems, 9 (1), pp. 67-82. 1997
Maybe it puts some things in persepective?

I’ve read Ciborra and have planned to write a post on his views. I agree on your remark on the many models. That’s exactly what has driven me to start this blog. The many models, and still little help for me as a practitioner. I’m looking for answers and try to relate the things I’ve seen sofar. More and more, I feel alignment is about people, and all the models just look and a small part of a simplified reality. I’m also convinced that alignment is not a Business/IT thing. It’s just about managing different groups in complex organisations to work together. I wouldn’t restrict it to strategy and technology like Ciborra does, but look at it fro. A wider perspective. Thanks for your respons!

The very crux of your writing while appearing agreeable originally, did not sit well with me after some time. Someplace throughout the paragraphs you were able to make me a believer unfortunately just for a very short while. I still have a problem with your jumps in assumptions and one might do nicely to help fill in all those breaks. When you can accomplish that, I will surely end up being impressed.

  9. Sweet blog! I found it while surfing around on Yahoo News. Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Cheers

After I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a remark is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any way you’ll be able to take away me from that service? Thanks!
